Jammu, Dec 29: Security forces have launched a massive anti-terror operation in Muradpur area of Rajouri district, after four suspects were spotted by a student.

The student said that a group of four suspects was seen roaming in the area, one of whom was wearing a camouflage uniform.

A senior official of the Jammu and Kashmir Police said that searches have been launched after the input from the student. The area of Muradpur, Bathuni, Afla and others are thoroughly being searched by joint forces.

“Forces were informed that all four suspects were carrying bags on their shoulders, and one was in uniform of that of security forces,” added the official.

The area where suspects were spotted is the same where the suspects were seen in the second week of December 2022. Two days later, they had attacked and killed two civilians, as per the Indian Army. They later carried out the deadly attack of Dhangri in which 7 Hindus were killed by terrorists after checking their ID cards in Rajouri.

Yesterday, a similar incident was reported in Pidi village of Kotranka in Rajouri when some suspects knocked on the gate of a village defence committee member, after which he opened fire and the suspects fled.
