The briefing was led by Harjeet Singh Duke, District General Secretary, BJP Baramulla.
Addressing the media, Harjeet Singh Duke reaffirmed the party’s commitment to grassroots empowerment, good governance, and inclusive development across the district. “BJP remains firmly dedicated to addressing the genuine concerns of Baramulla’s residents and ensuring that government schemes and welfare programs reach every deserving household,” stated Duke. He urged party workers to remain vigilant, disciplined, and proactive in serving communities, particularly in rural and remote areas.
The press conference outlined significant provisions of the employment guarantee program. The initiative extends guaranteed wage employment from 100 to 125 days per rural household annually. A notable farmer-friendly provision includes a 60-day “peak season pause” on public works during harvest periods to prevent agricultural labor shortages.
Duke addressed critical areas including infrastructure development, public services, youth engagement, and social welfare. He confirmed that BJP Baramulla maintains continuous coordination with the administration to resolve public grievances and accelerate development projects across the district.
The District General Secretary encouraged youth to actively participate in nation-building by utilizing central and UT-level schemes designed for employment generation, skill development, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Duke concluded by emphasizing the importance of unity, harmony, and collective effort for Baramulla’s progress. He reiterated the party’s resolve to work selflessly for the welfare, peace, and development of the district’s residents under the guidance of senior party leadership. Cni
