Srinagar : In response to PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s sit-in demanding access to the village where three individuals were found dead after being questioned by the Army following a recent terror attack in Poonch, J&K BJP Senior Leader Manzoor Bhat criticized Mufti, accusing her of engaging in publicity stunts.
Bhat highlighted the ongoing law and order situation in Poonch, highlighting that various officials, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, have visited the area. Singh expressed grief over the deaths and assured a thorough investigation.
Manzoor Bhat questioned Mufti’s motives, alleging a shift in her stance from being “Anti-Kashmiri” during her time in power to adopting a “Pro-Kashmiri” stance when out of office, labeling it as hypocrisy.
The BJP leader said, “Had a kid gone to buy a toffee from an army camp? A 15-year-old boy, had he gone to buy milk?” These words are vividly remembered by every Kashmiri. He stated that these statements reveal her true face, and the people of Kashmir are well aware of it. Bhat confidently asserted that the upcoming elections will be the platform for the Kashmiri populace to express their judgment of Mufti’s actions.
Regarding compensation, Manzoor Bhat stated that the Indian Army provided ₹10 lakh each to the families, and the government issued ₹20 lakh cheques immediately after the burial. Job letters are in the process of preparation, with a commitment to swift issuance upon completion. Bhat affirmed ongoing investigations and promised accountability for any wrongdoing.
The BJP leader concluded by advising Mufti to cease engaging in political stunts and to focus on raising issues for the betterment of beloved Kashmir. He urged her to abandon drama and prioritize discussions on development.(CNI) Current News of India
