Srinagar / February 05 / CNI: Calling Jammu and Kashmir an internal issue of India, Union Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that there is no need for anyone to speak on the issue of Kashmir. At the same time, he said that the situation in Kashmir is improving and made it clear that no compromise can be made on the security and integrity of the country.
According to CNI monitoring, the minister while talking to a news channel, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that India has already made it clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and whatever is happening in Jammu and Kashmir is India’s internal affairs and India does not allow anyone to interfere in its internal affairs.
He said that Pakistan is repeatedly wasting its time by raising the Kashmir issue at international forums because India has never accepted any of Pakistan’s claims. It has been merged and Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh have also got the status of Union Territories.
He said that a new era of construction and development has started in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh and the central government had already promised to take it to heights in every sector and now the development promises will be fulfilled.
The Foreign Minister said that with the abrogation of Article 370, there will be a complete end to militancy from Jammu and Kashmir and the time has come to cleanse Jammu and Kashmir from militancy. He said that militancy is a big challenge in front of the country at this time and the central government is taking all measures to deal with it.
He further said that the situation in the valley is now returning to normal and some evil elements who do not want the development of the UT are opposing it.
