Pathankot, (CNI) Alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a Pakistani national who illegally crossed the International Border (IB) near Pathankot district on Thursday.
According to official sources, BSF personnel noticed suspicious movement ahead of the border fence and acted swiftly to intercept the intruder. The individual was caught soon after he crossed into Indian territory.
Following preliminary questioning by BSF officials, the intruder was handed over to the Narot Jaimal Singh Police Station for further investigation.
Authorities are probing the motive behind the infiltration and whether the individual has any links to cross-border smuggling or other illegal activities. Security has been heightened in the area following the incident.
The BSF continues to maintain a high level of vigilance along the International Border to prevent any unauthorized crossings or security threats.(CNI)
