He directed the establishment of critical care ICUs in all new Medical Colleges and emphasized the need for continuous upgradation of facilities to minimize patient referrals.

He also stressed on filling faculty positions, particularly Assistant Professors, and engaging eligible persons for higher positions.

He reviewed progress on major infrastructure projects, including new medical colleges, and assessed the status of facilities like PET-Scan and Linear Accelerator in Cancer Institutes.

The meeting also discussed the introduction of Drug De-addiction IPD facilities in District Hospitals and the improvement of services in various hospitals, including the Bone & Joint Hospital and State Cancer Institute.
