Gulmarg: cni Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, on Saturday visited the famed tourist destination Gulmarg, where he also enjoyed skiing at the Kongdoori area. During the visit, the Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing construction and developmental works aimed at strengthening tourism infrastructure in the region.

Addressing the media, Omar Abdullah said he reviewed the high ski drag lift at Kongdoori, which is facing certain technical issues causing inconvenience to visitors. He said the purpose of his visit was to assess the issues on the ground and ensure their early resolution.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the recent snowfall, stating that it would benefit tourism and the local population.

During his visit to Gulmarg, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was accompanied by Sports Minister Satish Sharma and Gulmarg MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah. He said that electricity supply across Kashmir, which was disrupted due to recent weather conditions, will be fully restored by tonight. The Chief Minister also reiterated that the upcoming budget will be public-friendly and focused on public welfare and development.

Reacting to BJP leader Tarun Chugh’s remarks about making Jammu a separate state, the Chief Minister said that such claims are being spread by BJP leaders themselves.

On the issue of KCS Judicial examination results, Omar Abdullah said that if any irregularities are found, they will be thoroughly investigated and necessary action will be taken. Cni
