Nagrota: cni Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Jammu at NTA, Nagrota unfolded with remarkable synergy, enthusiasm, and a shared spirit of national integration. The SD/SW cadets of Rajasthan and Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Directorates came together as one, proving that when determination runs high, even the biting cold takes a back seat. With high josh and unyielding zeal, the cadets transformed the day into a vibrant celebration of learning, culture, and competence.
The day commenced on an enlightening note with a brief yet impactful introductory lecture on the history and culture of JK&L by Prof. Seema Kumari from GDC Akhnoor, and Ms. Rupali Maini from GGHSS Rehari. Their engaging narratives offered cadets a window into the region’s rich heritage, traditions, and timeless legacy, setting the ball rolling for a day steeped in cultural appreciation.
Setting the tone for the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp, Brigadier D. N. Pandey, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu, addressed the gathering with an inspiring welcome. In his address, he underscored the true spirit and soul of EBSB camp as a melting pot where cadets go beyond uniforms to forge lifelong friendships and build bonds that transcend regional boundaries.
Brigadier Pandey highlighted that the camp offers cadets a unique opportunity to broaden their horizons and think out of the box, encouraging them to soak in the diversity around them with open minds and eager hearts. Through meaningful interactions, cultural exchanges, and collaborative activities, cadets not only imbibe the essence of the camp but also explore new realms of knowledge, values, and understanding. His motivating words resonated with the audience, leaving the cadets energized and ready to make the most of every moment.
The intellectual fervour continued with a Public Speaking Competition, where cadets articulated their thoughts with confidence and clarity. Their eloquence, originality, and depth of expression left the audience impressed and placed the judges in a tight corner, making the task of evaluation both challenging and rewarding.
Adding a dash of precision and discipline, the SD/SW Firing Competition tested the cadets’ keen concentration, steady nerves, and sharp observation skills. Rising to the occasion, the participants demonstrated exceptional grit and composure.
