Commissioner Secretary Information Technology, Prerna Puri chairs Public Darbar in Budgam Encourages District Administration to continue timely resolution of public issues, prompt service delivery

Budgam : The Commissioner Secretary, Information Technology Department J&K, Prerna Puri, IAS today visited Budgam and presided over a public darbar at District Headquarter to take stock of public issues and developmental activities in the district.


The Deputy Commissioner (DC ) Akshay Labroo IAS, ADDC Budgam, Dr. Akhramullah Tak, CPO, CMO, CEO, ACD , all SDMs, all Executive Engineers of different wings, all district and Sectorial officers were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, locals of different Towns, villages, civil society members, social activists and respected elders, youth delegations etc raised their issues/ suggestions demanding timely disposal.

Addressing the public darbar, the Commissioner Secretary encouraged the District Administration for timely resolution of public issue and instructed on prompt service delivery to the general public.

She said that aim of conducting Public Darbar is to have a convergent bridge between the administration and the people.
She said such events provide opportunities for government representatives and general public to sit on the same platform, listen to each other and discuss things threadbare to take them to their logical end.

She appreciated District Administration Budgam for its commitment towards sustainable development and beautification works in Budgam and hoped the work shall continue with same pace in all Towns of the district.
The Commissioner Secretary maintained that all issues, demands and suggestions shall be taken with relevant quarters for prompt redressal.

She instructed on assessment of all issues through field officials for timely action taken review of all issues presented during the darbar proceedings.

The Commissioner Secretary urged general public to avail benefits of online services and opt for services through Digi- Dost application at their doorsteps.

She emphasised on sensitization and awareness regarding online services through CSCs and other digital platforms for better and hassle-free service delivery to the general public.

The Commissioner Secretary also distributed sanction letters among beneficiaries and felicitated varoius other beneficiaries under different schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC Budgam said that the District administration Budgam is committed towards ensuring completion of developmental projects of the area in a time bound manner. He said all the directions and suggestions have been duly recorded and will be adhered to within shortest time span.

It’s apt to mention that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has deployed the Administrative secretaries to conduct Public Darbars at the assigned Districts to hear and redress the grievances of the general public.(CNI) Current News of India
