Budgam, cni: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, today chaired a public darbar at Summerbugh Shalina in Block BK Pora, where he listened to the grievances and demands of residents from Summerbugh and adjoining villages, including Shalina, Rekh Shalina, Golpora, and Sheerbagh.
During the interactive session, the DC gave a patient hearing to multiple individuals and delegations, assuring them of timely redressal of their genuine concerns.
During the event, public raised several key demands, including Development of the KLR road and inner link roads, Establishment of a Veterinary Centre in the area, Upgradation of Government Girls High School, Organisation of medical camps and introduction of specialty ophthalmology services.
Closure of illegal stone crushers operating in the vicinity, Provision of public transportation from Summerbugh to the National Highway, Construction of drainage systems for dewatering the area, Augmentation of sports grounds with modern facilities, Development of a public park, Availability of 24×7 ambulance services, Completion of the footbridge at Seerbagh, Installation of street lights across the area, Construction of a Marriage Hall, Fencing of the local graveyard, Strict action against drug addiction among youth and crackdown on drug supply chains.
The DC assured the public that all genuine demands would be addressed promptly, while issues beyond the district administrationโs competence would be forwarded to higher authorities for necessary action.
DC also assured that the main road leading to Summerbugh shall be macmadised this year under the NABARD.
Emphasising the importance of grassroots governance, the DC directed all district officers to conduct regular field visits and engage with the public to understand their concerns firsthand.
On the occasion, the DC also informed the gathering that a mega employment camp will soon be organized in the area to provide job opportunities for local youth.
The public darbar concluded with a renewed commitment from the district administration to prioritize public welfare and ensure swift resolution of developmental issues. Cni
