POONCH, (CNI )Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA. The meeting was convened to review and approve applications submitted through the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) and to assess the progress of the scheme’s implementation in the district.
The committee scrutinized the applications received, assessing the eligibility, business viability and socio-economic background of the applicants. Each case was discussed in detail to ensure fair and merit-based consideration in line with the objectives of Mission YUVA.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of promoting self employment avenues for local youth, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. He directed the concerned departments to ensure timely disbursement of financial assistance, continuous handholding and regular monitoring to ensure the long-term sustainability of the approved ventures.
The Deputy Commissioner also stressed the need for enhanced outreach and awareness programs to encourage wider participation from eligible youth across the district.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to strengthen youth-led entrepreneurship and promote sustainable livelihood through effective implementation of Mission YUVA in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Poonch, Pankaj Mangotra, Assistant Director Employment Poonch, Mohd Arif, Lead District Manager (LDM) Poonch, Industrial Promotion Officer (IPO) Poonch, representatives of JKEDI Poonch and other concerned officers.(CNI)
