Srinagar, 15 April (CNI) :The District Development Council Baramulla Chairperson, Safina Baig on Saturday inaugurated six water supply schemes in Baramulla district under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to mitigate the sufferings of common public.
As per the News agency-Current News of India (CNI), The District Development Council Baramulla Chairperson, Safina Baig on Saturday inaugurated two retrofitting schemes at WSS Bandibala at an estimated cost of 44 lacs, WSS Nilsar Baldaji at an estimated cost of 33 lacs and Inaugurates four new water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at tapper at an cost of 495 lacs, WSS CheerWari Dandmuh at an cost of 44.52 lacs, WSS DardHajin Nagbal under 55 lacs and WSS Moghal Mohalla Khan Mohalla at an cost of 668.4 lacs, areas in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
DDC Chairperson Bla Safina Baig said that the project is aimed to benefit nearly 40,000 people and will be completed within specific time under the ambit of the Jal Jeevan Mission and on its accomplishment water shall be provided quantitatively and qualitatively to the public under scope.
Adding that she will continue to initiate several welfare measures for the general public.
These water supply schemes has different components civil (Inlet tank, sedimentation tanks, service reservoirs, filtration plants) and laying and fitting of the pipes for gravity main and distribution system.
The District Development Council chairperson Baramulla, Safina Baig was accompanied by AEE Kreeri, XEN Jal Shakti department and general public of the area.(CNI)
