POONCH // District Development Commissioner (DDC) Vikas Kundal, today distributed e-certificates among farmers, who successfully completed the Daksh Kisan training program under the Holistic Agricultural Development Program (HADP). A total of 645 farmers were awarded certificates to individuals associated with agriculture and allied activities.
Notably, over 29,000 farmers have enrolled and registered under the HADP in Poonch District, reflecting the strong commitment of the local agricultural community towards improving their farming practices and productivity.
During the distribution ceremony, DC Kundal engaged directly with the farmers, gathering valuable insights on the utilization of HADP projects. He emphasized the transformative potential of these initiatives in enhancing agriculture and other farm based productivity.
The DDC congratulated the farmers on completing the training in their associated fields and expressed confidence that the knowledge gained would translate into improved practices on the ground. He urged all departments to ensure continuous support and technical assistance to the trained farmers and maximizing the outreach of the HADP schemes in the district.
The HADP focuses on various aspects of agricultural development, including farm mechanization, training programs, and access to quality seeds and fertilizers. By promoting these initiatives, the government aims to create a robust agricultural sector capable of withstanding challenges posed by climate change and market fluctuations.
