Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gurez, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad ,JKAS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he lauded the efforts of the YSS Department for organizing such a meaningful initiative in a remote and scenic location like Gurez. He emphasized the importance of sports and adventure activities in channelizing youth energy in a positive direction and highlighted the potential of Gurez as a future winter sports destination.

The course witnessed enthusiastic participation from young boys and girls who underwent structured training in basic snow skiing techniques under the supervision of expert instructors.
Speaking on the occasion, District youth Services and Spirts Officer Mr Nazir Ahmad Bhat reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing local talent and expanding the scope of sports-based activities in border areas like Gurez. Certificates and mementoes were distributed to all the participants as a token of appreciation and encouragement.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a message of continued support for such initiatives that blend youth empowerment, adventure, and regional development.
