Srinagar: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar under the command of its Chairman Jawad Ahmad and Secretary DLSA Jehangir Ahmad Bakshi has settled more than one lakh cases in Lok Adalats in the year 2023, leading the former to laud the remarkable work accomplished by the body.

According to the news agency CNI while giving an appraisal of works done by the DLSA Srinagar in 2023, Jawad Ahmad said that during the year, the DLSA, Srinagar organized three National Lok Adalats and five special Lok Adalats in which around 1,16,666 (one lakh sixteen thousand six hundred and sixty six) cases were settled. In three National Lok Adalats an amount of Rs. 29,18,27,405 (Twenty Nine Crore Eighteen Lakhs Twenty Seven Thousand Four Hundred Five) was settled and realized from the concerned parties.(CNI) Current News of India
