In the aftermath of the tragic Army vehicle accident at Khannitop on the Bhaderwah–Chamba road in Doda, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah with several other political leaders have expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the families of the ten soldiers who lost their lives.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in a post on X, as per news agency cni wrote, “Deeply saddened at the loss of lives of 10 of our brave Indian Army soldiers in an unfortunate road accident in Doda. We will always remember the outstanding service and supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers. My deepest condolences to the grieving families. In this moment of profound sorrow, the entire nation stands united with the bereaved families in solidarity and support.”
Post further reads that, “10 Injured soldiers have been airlifted to the hospital. Directed the Senior officials to ensure best possible treatment. Praying for their speedy recovery.”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in a post on X as per news agency cni, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, while lauding the swift rescue and evacuation operations.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed her grief on X, stating she was deeply saddened by the accident that claimed the lives of 10 brave soldiers and left several others injured. She prayed for the speedy recovery of those wounded.
Mehbooba wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear the tragic news from Doda, where an Army vehicle met with an accident, claiming the lives of 10 brave soldiers and leaving several others injured. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.”
Similarly, former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad tweeted his profound pain over the loss, offering condolences to the families of the deceased and prayers for the recovery of the injured, adding, “May the departed souls rest in peace.”
Azad wrote on X, “Deeply pained by the tragic loss of lives of 10 brave Indian Army soldiers in the Doda (J&K) road accident. The pain of this immense loss is beyond words. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families and I pray for the swift recovery of those injured. May the departed souls rest in peace!”
Earlier, as reported ten army soldiers lost their lives while 11 other were injured after an army vehicle plunges into gorge in Doda.
