A grand celebration of the Purple Revolution unfolded at GDC Bhaderwah as Union Minister for science and technology Dr. Jitendra Singh, who is also serve as Vice President of CSIR, inaugurated the 3rd Lavender Festival, lauding Doda’s role in transforming rural livelihoods through lavender cultivation under the Aroma Mission. 🇮🇳
🌸 Organized by CSIR-IIIM Jammu in collaboration with District Administration Doda under the leadership of DC Harvinder Singh, the festival showcased innovative lavender products, agro-entrepreneurship, and scientific research.
🌿 The Union Minister praised CSIR-IIIM’s efforts, highlighting how lavender farming has empowered farmers and youth and brought global recognition to Bhaderwah.
📈 Emphasizing economic growth and rural start-ups, he assured continued government support for innovation and self-reliance.
🎭 Cultural performances, scientific exhibitions, and public enthusiasm made the two-day event a vibrant tribute to Bhaderwah – the Lavender Capital of India.
