Jammu, cniBJP spokesperson Dr. Tahir Chowdhary has launched a sharp attack on the National Conference (NC)-led government in Jammu and Kashmir, accusing it of failing to deliver on its electoral promises and resorting to a political blame game to cover its

inefficiency.Reacting to Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary’s recent statement in which he blamed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for alleged interference in governance, Dr. Tahir Chowdhary said the remarks reflect the internal breakdown of administrative functioning within the Omar Abdullah-led government.

“The Deputy Chief Minister’s public outburst against the LG is not just irresponsible—it reveals the confusion, lack of direction, and infighting within the ruling alliance,” Dr. Chowdhary said.He added that rather than taking accountability for their failures, the NC-led government is now attempting to shift the burden onto

constitutional authorities.“This government was voted into power with the promise of change, efficiency, and progress. But what we are witnessing is an administration paralysed by indecision and driven by political compulsions,” he said.Dr. Chowdhary also pointed out that the coordination mechanism between the Union Territory administration and the elected government exists to ensure smooth

governance.“The LG is part of the constitutional structure of governance in a Union Territory. Blaming him publicly without following due institutional channels shows the government’s desperation to divert public attention from its poor performance,” he remarked. He further said that despite being in power for several months, the Omar-led government has failed to take forward major developmental projects,

streamline administration, or bring in transparency.“Instead of focusing on people-centric policies, the ruling coalition is more interested in settling political scores—both internally and with the Centre,” he added. He emphasized that while democratic differences are natural, airing them in public without

attempting institutional resolution undermines the credibility of governance.“They are not just failing administratively, but also failing to uphold the dignity of constitutional functioning,” he said.Calling on the people of Jammu and Kashmir to see through what he called the “political

theatrics” of the ruling alliance, Dr. Chowdhary said, “The NC leadership is more concerned about its image than the issues faced by the people. But people can see that the promises of jobs, infrastructure, and clean governance remain unfulfilled.”“The BJP believes in performance, not excuses. And the people of J&K deserve a government that works for them, not one that blames others for its own shortcomings,” he.said. cni
