Srinagar : A first of its kind GIS exchange meetup with the theme “Exploring start-up opportunities in GIS”was held at Nundreshi Hall SKUAST-K, Organized by SKIIE centre, SKUAST-K in collaboration with GeoInfinity India.
The event saw the participation of budding entrepreneurs, Students, Scholars, Industry experts and other stakeholders. The welcome address was given by Mr. Naveed Hamid, CEO of SKIIE centre, followed by the release of the book “Unlocking Opportunities: A brief guide to start-up success in GIS. A brief about the program was given by Mr. Muzaffar Ahmad Malla, Co-founder of GeoInfinity India.
Among the Guests speakers at the occasion Mr. Haroon. R. Naik, Director Planning and Monitoring SKUAST-K stressed upon building an entrepreneurial spirit in the present generation, Mr. Humayun Rashid, Scientist JKDEERS spoke about the geospatial data available on JKSSDI for the end users of the UT.(CNI) Current News of India
