Kangan,(CNI): In a significant step towards strengthening grassroots healthcare in Jammu & Kashmir, noted social activist Rubeena Shahzad on Sunday organized a large-scale free medical camp in the Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with hundreds of locals — including women, children, and elderly — receiving free medical consultations, check-ups, medicines, and health awareness guidance from a dedicated team of doctors and healthcare workers.
Speaking to CNI News, Ruheena Shahzad said, “Healthcare is a basic right of every citizen. This camp is not a one-time initiative — we are determined to reach the remotest corners where help is needed the most.”
Locals expressed deep appreciation for the initiative and praised Ruheena Shahzad for her grassroots approach and unwavering commitment to public welfare, especially in neglected areas like Kangan.
More than just a medical effort, the camp emerged as a symbol of compassion, leadership, and hope for those who often remain unseen by the system._CNI
