Srinagar, 23 February (CNI): Union Minister Anurag Thokar has said that the G20 summit will provide an opportunity to assemble on a platform to fight against various challenges, which will lead to different steps.
According to Current News of India (CNI), Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said on Wednesday that the G20 could play an important role in finding solutions to global challenges such as climate change and geographical political tensions. Addressing the inaugural session of the G20 Second Finance and Central Bank deputies (FCBD) meeting here, he noted that the theme of India’s G20 presidency is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (one land, one family, one future).
In his address, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs said that the world faces the lasting impact of the epidemic, food and energy conservation issues, inflation, deteriorating climate change and geographical political tensions.
He pointed out that the effects of these crises could affect the progress of the key developmental parables .
The Minister said that the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ reflects India’s importance in cooperation efforts to tackle global challenges. (CNI)
