Demanding a high-level investigation into the monthly loss of crores of rupees to the government exchequer
Budgam, 24 March (CNI):Hundreds of Jal Shakti Casual Labours in Khan Sahab, Sub-division of Jal Shakti Department Budgam are getting salary without duty as they are engaged with their other business, it has been learnt that crores of rupees are allegedly withdrawn from the government treasury in the name of casual labourers, which the concerned officers and other employees eat by sharing like monkeys.
A team of Current News of India (CNI) visited Khan Sahab, Sub-division of Jal Shakti Department Budgam, where they found that there are 216 casual labourers. However, most of them do not come to the office and the salaries issued in their names are shared by the concerned officers and casual labourers.
It has been learned that there are more than one hundred such casual labourers, some of whom run shops, some drive vehicles and some are engaged in other works, but salaries are officially issued monthly in their names from the above-mentioned department.

Sources said that some of the casual labourers, who attend the department daily and run all the work receive salaries of those casual labourers employees who are absent for years.
In this regard, the local public has expressed their displeasure and demanded a high-level investigation into the matter, saying that strict action should be taken against those who whitewash the government exchequer and those who are involved in this Scandal should be shown the way out of the government services.
