Srinagar, CNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his greetings to the nation, especially space scientists, on India’s first ever National Space Day.

 

As per the news agency Current News of India (CNI), the PM Modi had declared this day as National Space Day after the soft landing of the Pragyan rover on the moon’s south pole on 23 August 2023, leaving the indelible presence of India on the lunar surface and the historic success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

 

With the Indian space scientists’ unwavering efforts and consequent feat of Chandrayaan-3, PM Modi announced 23 August as the National Space Day to inspire the younger generation towards achieving more space wonders.

 

“Greetings to everyone on the first National Space Day. We recall with great pride our nation’s achievements in the space sector. It is also a day to laud the contributions of our space scientists,” Prime Minister Modi said in a post on X.

 

“Our Government has taken a series of futuristic decisions relating to this sector and we will do even more in the times to come,” PM Modi added. CNI
