Srinagar, 12 February (CNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India is proud of its heritage with great self-respect and asserted that it will strengthen its traditions while advancing modernity, adding that the country is walking on the tracks of Inheritance and Progress, Modi said that today the country’s daughters are playing an important role from being deployed in Siachen to flying Rafale fighter jets.

According to Current News of India (CNI), the Prime Minister has said that the country is saying with full confidence that we will strengthen our traditions while advancing modernity, he added that the country is walking on the tracks of Inheritance (Warasat) and Progress (Vikas).

He also said that there is no discrimination in the policies and efforts of the country and their only aim is to serve the poor, backward and deprived people.

The Prime Minister also unveiled the logo for the birthday celebrations., Modi made the remarks after inaugurating the 200th birth anniversary celebrations of social reformer and Arya Samaj founder Dayananda Saraswati and said that India is leading the world in the field of environment. He also said that it is a matter of pride that India is chairing the G20 this year.

Modi said that today with great self-respect, the country is proud of its heritage, The country is confidently saying that we will strengthen our traditions while advancing modernity, adding that the country is walking on the tracks of Inheritance(Warasat) and progress (Vikas).

Modi said that when he talks about following the ‘path of duty’, some people say that he talks about duties but not rights.”If this is the case with me in the 21st century, think 150 years ago what kind of difficulties Swami Dayananda must have faced in showing the way to the society,” he said.

He said that Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati became the voice of women empowerment in India and led a strong campaign against social discrimination and untouchability.

Modi said that today the country’s daughters are playing a vital role, from being deployed in Siachen to flying Rafale fighter jets, Born in 1824, Saraswati worked to combat the social inequality of the time.

The Prime Minister said that the Arya Samaj has played a key role in the cultural and social awareness of the country by emphasizing social reforms and education.

It said the government is committed to celebrating social reformers and important figures, especially those whose contributions have not yet been given their due on an all-India scale.
