The purpose of this visit was to assess the concerns raised by the residents and find feasible solutions to address them. Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, known for his commitment to public welfare and infrastructure development, took a proactive step to engage with the people and understand their perspective on the ongoing construction project.

During the visit, the former MLA and the NHAI engineers held meetings with local community members, including residents, business owners, and representatives from various organizations. They listened attentively to the concerns raised by the people regarding the construction work and the impact it has had on their daily lives.

The residents on the occasion said that the construction of the four-lane Pandach Manigam road is seen as a crucial infrastructure project that aims to improve connectivity in the region. However, the plans for acquiring land for the project have raised concerns among the local residents. They worry that the acquisition of demarcated residential land will lead to the displacement of households, leaving them homeless and will affect their livelihood.

The residents requested that the using state land for the construction of the National Highway would be a more reasonable option. They hope that their demand for using state land instead of residential land for the construction of the National Highway will be considered and that their voices will be heard. They emphasize the importance of protecting the rights and livelihoods of the affected families during the process of infrastructure development.

They further said that the completion of the project is essential for improving the connectivity, but it should not come at the expense of destroying homes and livelihoods.

To address these concerns, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar assured the people that their grievances would be taken seriously and necessary steps would be taken to minimize the inconvenience caused during the construction phase. He emphasized the importance of open communication and encouraged the locals to share their feedback and suggestions.

The Former MLA also highlighted the long-term benefits of the 4-lane National Highway, emphasizing that it would enhance connectivity, boost economic growth, and improve overall infrastructure in the area.
