Today marks a historic day for the Jammu & Kashmir film industry. With the consent of senior journalist Mr. Sohail Kazmi, DADA President Mr. G.S. Babli, Censor Certified Producer-Director Association President Mr. Jayesh Gupta, VR Films (Producer/Director: Mr. Ramesh Singh), Luthra Brothers, Jammu 86 Family, Sikh For All Foundation President Mr. Manjeet Singh, Retd. Additional Secretary Mr. Amandeep Singh (J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages), Awaz All Artist Welfare Association Jammu (Dr. Kamal Sharma), and 10 censor certified producer-directors, the name of the J&K Film Industry has been officially decided as:

“HILLWOOD – Our Pride, Our Identity”

This historic meeting was organized by Rajesh Raja (Writer/Director/Film Distributor).

This name will stand as a symbol of new identity, pride, and unity for Jammu & Kashmir cinema.
