The Jammu and Kashmir Police have stepped up their efforts to stop the misuse of social media platforms for anti-India and anti-national actions, which is a significant development.

According to sources, they are actively monitoring the IP addresses of those taking part in such operations.

This programme stands out due to the direct support Police have received from major social media platforms including WhatsApp, X (formerly known as Twitter), Snapchat, Instagram, Telegram, and ToTok, among others.

This agreement has provided authorities with access to information about persons who use these platforms to propagate anti-national sentiment.

An individual from Srinagar was recently apprehended by the Police’s Cyber Investigation Kashmir wing, demonstrating the effectiveness of this relationship.

It was discovered that the person was using a fake Instagram account and expressing anti-national comments.
