Flays Rahul Gandhi for misbehaving with media
Jammu, (CNI): Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has strongly objected to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Poonch nearly 14 days after the region witnessed intense shelling and turmoil due to cross-border conflict with Pakistan.

In a strongly worded statement, the BJP stalwart said, “The people of Poonch have suffered immense losses — both in terms of lives and property — due to the repeated shelling from the Pakistan side. At a time when they needed support the most, the entire nation stood firmly behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the whole BJP cadre was tirelessly working on the ground to assist the affected families in Poonch.”

Kavinder criticized Rahul Gandhi’s delayed visit, calling it a “mere political formality devoid of empathy”, and said such opportunistic gestures expose the Congress party’s disconnect with ground realities.

Particularly highlighting a shocking incident, Kavinder said, “It is deeply unfortunate that when media persons questioned Rahul Gandhi, he misbehaved with them. This kind of arrogance and disrespect towards journalists — who are only doing their duty — is unacceptable in a democracy.”

Kavinder further stated that the Congress party has “lost its political space and moral authority”, adding that such acts only reaffirm the party’s irrelevance in Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized that true leadership is shown in times of crisis, and it was the BJP that stood by the people in their hour of need.

“This is not the time for politics. This is the time for solidarity and service — something the BJP continues to demonstrate every single day,” he added.(CNI)
