Bandipora, April 20 (CNI): A residential house was damaged in a landslide triggered by continuous snowfall and rainfall over the past two days in the Busgi Kilshay area of Tulail, located in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
According to sources, said the damaged structure belonged to Ali Mohammad Khan, son of Abdul Samad Khan. Fortunately, no one was present inside the house when the incident occurred, averting what could have been a tragic outcome.
A police team reached the spot shortly after the incident to assess the situation and coordinate any necessary relief measures. Local authorities are also monitoring the area closely, especially in light of the ongoing inclement weather conditions.
The landslide is believed to be a direct consequence of persistent bad weather, as the region has been witnessing heavy snowfall and rainfall in recent days, increasing the risk of such natural hazards.
Residents in the area have been advised to remain cautious and report any signs of land movement or structural instability to local authorities immediately._CNI
