Taking another steps to help the needy in times of need due to outbreak of COVID-19, 123 Inf Bn TA, Gund of Military Garrison, Sonamarg distributed rations at Village Gund to the families who are really in need of assistance in terms of basic food items.
Due to shutdown called by Civil Administration to control the outbreak of COVID-19, poor families suffered due to shortage of food items. In order to address the issues, 123 TA had undertaken a noble cause by distributing rations to the needy and poor families of this village.
The locals and families who have received help appreciated the initiative undertaken by the unit and expressed their gratitude to the Army for their continuous help in times of need. Mr Zahur Ah Tantray, Sarpanch and Mr Umar Ah Tantray, Dy Sarpanch og Village Gund along with his numberdar and panches were also present at the distribution point and expressed their gratitude for the positive initiative undertaken by the Army.CNI
