Kulgam July 11 (CNI) : In an another example of communal harmony, humanity and brotherhood, the Muslim population residing in Kulgam, district of southern Kashmir on Sunday helped to perform the last rites of two Kashmiri Pandit Women’s.
Reports reaching news agency, Current News of India – CNI said that Chand Rani (80) and Koshaliya Devi (83) of Kulgam town – the area of Muslim dominated region, passed away on Sunday morning at their two different residences.
As soon as the news of the demise of Pandit woman’s spread in the area, hundreds of neighbors from Muslim community, including women and children rushed towards their houses to console the families of deceased and mourned their demise.
Witnesses told CNI News that Muslim men were seen carrying the bodies of both deceased to the cremation ground in the area. (CNI)
