Indian Army’s troops from RH Canal Army Camp visited Government Middle School Chek-e- Panjpora located at Panjpora village of South Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon as part of Leap of Literacy campaign. The soldiers interacted with the children and teachers and distributed books, colors, pencils and sweets to the budding blooms of pre-primary and primary classes.
The aim of the visit was to interact with the children and help them with their requirements for the betterment of their learning and creativity.
After a healthy interaction, students enjoyed refteshments with the troops. It was visible that shared happiness was instantly emanating a positive energy in the minds of the children.
A total of 70 students belonging to areas including Panjpora, Verinang Panjpora, Chek, Daddu and Asthanpora took part in the event. The headmaster of the school, Mr Hamid Bhat and educational advisor, Mr. GH. Nabi appreciated the efforts by Indian Army for hosting a wonderful event which boosted the morale and enthusiasm of the students and encouraged them to attend school regularly.
