Budgam, 9 March: In a collaborative effort aimed at uplifting the community, a significant event took place in Watrihal Budgam today. Prominent Youth Leader Manzoor Bhat, in collaboration with the Indian Minority Foundation and We The Helping Hands Foundation, spearheaded the initiative, which witnessed the inauguration of swing machines dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities for women in the area.

The event also marked a joyous occasion as five couples were joined in matrimony during a mass marriage ceremony, symbolizing unity and solidarity within the community.

Addressing the attendees, Manzoor Bhat lauded the transformative leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted the positive impact of various government initiatives on the women of Kashmir. He highlighted schemes such as the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, UJJAWALA, and support for Self Help Groups (SHG), which have significantly contributed to the empowerment and safety of women in the region.

In a fiery address, Manzoor Bhat launched a scathing critique against the PDP and NC, declaring, “The PDP and NC have failed us time and time again. They promise the Kashmir but deliver nothing. Look at the chaos they’ve caused within the PAGD alliance. When it comes to seat-sharing, they’re quick to abandon their commitments, leaving the people of Kashmir disillusioned and betrayed. But we won’t be fooled anymore! We’re tired of their empty rhetoric and broken promises. It’s time for a change, and under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Kashmir is on the path to true progress and prosperity.”
