Jammu, CNI Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today asserted that the Modi Government is fully committed to bring back all fugitives who have taken shelter in foreign lands to escape Indian law. He said that the Central Government headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leaving no stone unturned in its pursuit of justice and national security.

Speaking at the meeting held here at Party Headquarters in Jammu, Kavinder said the recent developments regarding the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Rana and the arrest of economic offender Mehul Choksi are clear indicators of the Centre’s resolve to ensure that no criminal, terrorist, or economic fugitive is beyond the reach of Indian law.

He said that Tahawwur Rana, who is wanted in India for his role in facilitating the 26/11 attacks, has extradited to India from the United States to face justice for his involvement in the Mumbai carnage. He appreciated the relentless efforts of Indian agencies and diplomatic channels in securing this decision and ensuring that justice is served to the victims of the heinous terror attacks that shook the nation. “The Modi Government has shown unprecedented political will and international diplomacy to bring justice to the 26/11 victims. The world is now witnessing India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism,” he stated.

Referring to Mehul Choksi, the prime accused in the multi-crore PNB scam, Kavinder said that his recent arrest by Dominican authorities, following Interpol notices and constant pressure from Indian agencies, is another example of how economic fugitives will not be spared under this regime. He emphasized that unlike the previous governments headed by the Congress that allowed such individuals to flourish and flee, the Modi Government is determined to bring them back and recover the looted public money.

The former deputy Chief Minister also said that this proactive approach has strengthened India’s global credibility and legal outreach, sending a strong message to all fugitives that there will be no safe havens for them abroad. He urged the people to support the government in its efforts to uphold justice, national integrity, and accountability.

Among those who were present in the meeting included Aseem Gupta Vice President, Purnima Sharma ex Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Bilawria Ex Dy Mayor, Rajni Sethi, Abhijeet Jasrotia, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Perduman Singh and Rajinder Singh Chib. CNI
