No truth in Amit Shah’s statement, his statements are just Sentences, Appealed to People to take Possession of their land because it belongs to them and no one else: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar, 15 February (CNI): People’s Democratic Party President and former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti described Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement as mere “sentences”, adding that during the coalition government of PDP and BJP, she did not allow BJP’s agenda to prevail in Jammu and Kashmir, nor did she accept it and she appealed to the people to take control of their lands in the respective areas.

According to Current News of India (CNI), while addressing a press conference in Srinagar, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said that she does not take Amit Shah’s statements seriously as they are mere “phrases”.

Reacting to Home Minister Amit Shah’s interview, she said that there is no truth in his statement, as he himself has admitted that the statements are just “sentences”.

In response to a question, Mehbooba Mufti said that People were called enemies of the country earlier and now they are being called trespassers. She further said that I appealed to the people to take possession of their land as it is their property and in the absence of the government, the people including the Mahalla Committees, Panchayats and others should take possession of their land.

She further said that people are being oppressed in one way or the other, but the sentiments of the people regarding the Kashmir resolution cannot be imprisoned in such a way that people especially Youths are transferred out of prisons.

She said that people who have been put in jail are being given bread and salt as food, adding that the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been reduced to a union territory, the economy is at stake but to divert attention from important issues, Jammu and Kashmir has become a focal point for them for this purpose.

When asked about the ‘Naya Kashmir’ statement, she said that employees are being fired from departments and made unemployed, people including journalists are being thrown in jails and houses are being demolished, Which is the ‘Naya Kashmir’. Mehbooba added that it is a tactic to demolish people’s houses to force them to join a particular party and get money from rich people and nothing more.

Mehbooba Mufti further added that on PDP’s alliance with BJP, she said her father had taken a wise decision. People may criticize me on my feet, I am not BJP, but as long as the government was there, we did not let their agenda prevail. (CNI)
