A rescue operation has been launched at Bohripora Sopore of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, after a non-local drowned in river Pohru, an official said.

The official told Current News of India that one Surendra Prasad Dusaad, son of Jalesar Prasad, from Babhanauli Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, drowned in the river, following which a police party reached the site. “The police team alongside locals have been searching for the person, however, no success has been achieved so far”, the official said.
