Pattan 19 Nov: J&K Police in Palhallan Pattan area of District Baramulla has arrested a Notorious Charas Peddler along with Charas Powder against Whom Case Under NDPS Act has been registered.
Police Sources told Current News of India (CNI) that Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Palhallan headed by IC PP Palhallan under the supervision of SDPO Pattan at a checkpoint established at Ghat Palhallan intercepted one person.
During the search, 1.5 kgs of contraband Charas Powder like substance was recovered from his possession, who was later identified as Ab Ahad Dar son of Khazir Mohammad resident of Ghat Palhallan Baramulla. He had been arrested and shifted to Police Station Pattan where he remain in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigations have been initiated.
