Bijbhera,Anantnag — CNI:-The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) launched a fresh political outreach initiative by kickstarting its membership drive in Bijbhera, South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, under the leadership of Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Addressing a gathering of party workers and local residents, Iltija Mufti underscored the importance of reconnecting with the grassroots and revitalizing the party’s presence in the region. “The PDP is committed to safeguarding the democratic rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” she stated.
The membership drive witnessed an enthusiastic response, particularly from young people and first-time voters eager to engage in the political process. Highlighting the party’s core principles, Iltija said, “PDP’s politics is rooted in dialogue, development, and dignity. We urge the youth to take the lead in shaping the future of this region.”
This initiative marks a renewed effort by the PDP to strengthen its base in South Kashmir amid evolving political developments in the Union Territory.(CNI)
