Budgam, , CNI: Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, prominent Shia cleric and Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian President, Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, on Friday voiced serious concern over the growing hostility between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
Talking to reporters at Imambarah Budgam, Aga Syed Hassan stressed that only peace and diplomacy—not war—can secure long-term stability and prosperity in the region.
He urged both countries to abandon confrontation and instead pursue meaningful dialogue. “De-escalation and peaceful resolution stand a far better chance of ensuring lasting peace than any path of conflict,” he said.
Highlighting the human cost of political and military tensions, the cleric warned that it is the ordinary people who suffer the most. He appealed to the leadership of both India and Pakistan to rise above provocation and act with “wisdom and compassion in the interest of humanity.” (CNI)
