Jammu, cni Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent five-nation
diplomatic tour as a watershed moment in India’s evolving global stature, asserting that it has set new standards in the realms of strategic, economic, and cultural diplomacy.
Speaking at the meeting held here today, the BJP stalwart said the Prime Minister’s tour of Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia has not only deepened India’s engagement with the
Global South but has also reinforced the nation’s position as a decisive force on the international stage.“Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharat has entered a new era of diplomacy.
The successful culmination of this tour demonstrates how India’s global role is expanding — from combating terrorism to securing critical economic interests and forging deeper ties with the diaspora,” he said.Highlighting the major achievements of the tour, Kavinder noted that at the BRICS Summit in Brazil, the global consensus on India’s tough
stand against terrorism was a significant diplomatic milestone. “PM Modi made it categorically clear that those who perpetrate terror and those who suffer from it cannot be placed on the same pedestal.
This principled stand was endorsed by all BRICS nations — a testimony to India’s growing moral authority in global affairs,” he added. The former Deputy CM also emphasized the economic significance of the agreements signed with resource-rich nations like Ghana and Namibia, pointing out that these
pacts will boost India’s self-reliance by ensuring access to vital minerals like uranium, lithium, gold, and diamonds. “These resources are critical for sustaining India’s growth as it moves towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy.
The PM’s efforts have reduced our dependence on any single country for these materials,” he said.On the cultural front, the senior BJP leader praised the strengthening of ties with the Indian diaspora, particularly in Trinidad and Tobago,
where the Prime Minister received a warm welcome. “This tour has deepened our emotional and cultural connect with people of Indian origin. It is heartening to see that leaders in these countries share a deep bond with Bharat,” he stated.
The former deputy Chief Minister stated that the PM’s tour has elevated India’s stature on the world stage, laying the foundation for enhanced cooperation with African and Latin American nations. “This is not just a diplomatic success — it is a strategic transformation of India’s global identity,” he said.
