Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met with three Block-level officers, including one from Mankote in Jammu region’s Poonch district, before starting a one-of-a-kind week-long event for Aspirational Blocks throughout the country called ‘Sankalp Saptaah’ at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Additionally, he opened the exhibition that was on display and the Aspirational Blocks Programme Portal.
In his conversation with Dr. Sajied Ahmed, a veterinary assistant surgeon from Mankote in the Jammu and Kashmir province of Poonch, Modi described his affinity for the Gurjar people of the area because they always reminded him of the people of Kutch (in Gujarat, where Modi held the office of chief minister for nearly 13 years).
