PMO Advisor Visits Srinagar’s Lal Chowk, Traders Hopeful as Issues Reach PM Directly

Srinagar, July 7: In a significant outreach, Tarun Kapoor, Advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), visited Srinagar’s Lal Chowk on Sunday and interacted with local traders and residents. The visit sparked hope and positivity among the business community in the area.

During the visit, Kapoor listened carefully to the concerns raised by traders and assured them that their issues would be taken seriously. He promised that all matters discussed would be looked into and necessary steps would be taken to address them.

After the meeting, several traders expressed happiness over the PMO’s direct involvement. They said it was a big moment for them as their voices would now be heard at the highest level. “It means a lot to us that someone from the Prime Minister’s Office has come here and heard us. Now our issues will directly reach the PM,” one trader said.

Tarun Kapoor is a senior IAS officer of the 1987 batch from Himachal Pradesh. He is well known for his work in the energy and infrastructure sectors and currently deals with matters related to the economy in the PMO. This is his second term as an advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office, having first taken the position in May 2022.

His visit to Lal Chowk is being seen as a positive step toward building direct communication between the central government and local stakeholders in Kashmir.
