Jammu, (CNI) Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, on Wednesday reiterated that the reintegration of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) with India is not just a political aspiration but a historical certainty. He said the people of PoJK have always been an inseparable part of the Indian family, and their eventual return is both natural and inevitable.
Welcoming the recent remarks of Defence Minister on PoJK, Kavinder Gupta underlined the unwavering and resolute stand of the BJP-led government. He said the stance is rooted not just in constitutional and legal frameworks, but also in the deep emotional and cultural ties that bind the region with the rest of India. “It is only a matter of time before our brethren in PoJK, who were forcibly separated from us, rejoin the Indian mainstream, guided by their shared civilizational identity and historical bonds,” he said.
Kavinder Gupta further emphasized that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s defence posture has been transformed. He highlighted how India’s indigenous military capabilities have grown significantly, enhancing the country’s global stature and strengthening its position against cross-border threats. “India today deals with terrorism and external aggression with unmatched clarity and resolve. As the Prime Minister and Defence Minister have rightly pointed out, any dialogue with Pakistan will now be limited strictly to the issue of terrorism and PoJK,” he said.
Referring to Operation Sindoor, Kavinder said the mission is a shining example of India’s growing strategic depth and its evolving approach to national security. It underscores the country’s readiness to safeguard its interests while exercising restraint and wisdom. He emphasized that such operations not only project India’s defence capabilities on the global stage but also reaffirm its commitment to protecting every citizen, upholding sovereignty, and responding to challenges with a balanced and confident approach.
The former deputy Chief Minister said, “The message from India is loud and clear — PoJK is ours, constitutionally, historically, and emotionally. The day is not far when this unresolved chapter of history will be corrected, and the dream of a truly unified India will be fulfilled peacefully and proudly.”(CNI)
