November 18: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Chandoosa headed by SHO PS Chandoosa under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri at a checkpoint established at Darwa Chandoosa intercepted one person.
During the search, 50 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from his possession, who was later identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie son of Ali Mohammad Ganie resident of Mongam Kreeri. He had been arrested and shifted to PS Chandoosa where he remain in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Chandoosa and investigations have been initiated.(CNI) Current News of India
