Police recovers Rs. 91,000 from criminals involved in online money scams in Kishtwar

The Kishtwar Police have successfully recovered Rs. 91,000 in stolen money in a spectacular display of skill and unrelenting dedication, marking a significant triumph in the continuing fight against cybercrime in the area.

Mr. Irshad Ahmed Keen, the son of Magta-Ju-Keen , resident of Sarpen Patnazi Bounjwah, filed a complaint with the PP Jawalapur on October 2, 2023. He disclosed a case of online fraud involving the purchase of a cow and a total financial loss of Rs. 1,26,600 dispersed among 4 fraudulent bank accounts.

The Kishtwar Police were able to recover this amazing sum of Rs. 91,000/- with the help of SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, and the tenacious determination and talent of IC PP Jawalapur, PSI Pintu Raina EXJ-196314, under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta. This accomplishment demonstrates the police force’s commitment to protecting citizens from internet fraud and financial frauds.
