Srinagar, :(CNI):- The Press Club of Kashmir, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi City, has launched a winter relief initiative aimed at supporting journalists working in the field and community heroes across Srinagar. As part of the drive, warm skull caps are being distributed to journalists, sanitation workers, and street vendors who brave harsh winter conditions to earn a livelihood and serve society.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment to social responsibility and compassion during the peak of winter, when vulnerable sections face severe challenges due to freezing temperatures. Journalists on ground duty, along with sanitation workers and street vendors, often begin their day early in extreme cold, making such support both timely and meaningful.

President and Patron of the Press Club of Kashmir, M. Saleem Pandit, urged members of the press club to actively participate in the initiative. He emphasized the importance of caring for fellow human beings and sharing both their hardships and joys, noting that such efforts strengthen the social fabric and reflect the values of empathy and solidarity.

The Press Club of Kashmir expressed sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Delhi City for its generous support.

Special appreciation was extended to Rotary Club President Ms. Rita Bakshi and Director Mr. Pradeep Jain for providing warm caps for journalists and other frontline workers, often referred to as the unsung warriors of the valley.

The initiative has been widely appreciated as a small yet impactful step toward supporting those who continue to work tirelessly in difficult conditions, reaffirming the spirit of cooperation and humanitarian service during the winter months.(CNI)
