In a recent development, the Jammu and Kashmir police have taken possession of a property located in Turigam village, situated in the Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

This property is notable for being the site where Deputy Superintendent of Police (Operations) Aman Thakur lost his life during a confrontation with terrorists back in 2019. An official, speaking to the Current News of India (CNI), confirmed that the police executed this property seizure in Turigam Yaripora village today.

The incident in 2019 saw the tragic demise of Deputy Superintendent of Police Aman Thakur, with the encounter resulting in the elimination of three JeM terrorists and injuries sustained by three soldiers, as reported by (CNI).
