On 11th cni, Kashmir Mountain Biking Association (KMBA) successfully organized its Annual Day Program, marking a historic and inspiring moment in the sporting journey of Kashmir. The event stood as a powerful testament to resilience, unity, and the unstoppable spirit of athletes who dare to challenge both nature and limitations.

Despite the harsh Chillai Kalan conditions, where the temperature dropped to a bone-chilling –5°C, more than 65 athletes from across Kashmir gathered with unwavering determination. Their presence alone symbolized courage, discipline, and an unbreakable passion for sports.

The highlight of the day was the 13-kilometre Cross Country Marathon, conducted under extreme winter conditions. Alongside it, an Awareness Cross Country Run was organized to promote fitness, endurance, and the importance of sports culture in society.
The run commenced from Kashmir Harvard School, passed through Nishat, and returned to conclude at the same venue, completing a demanding yet deeply meaningful route.

Running on frozen roads, breathing icy air, and pushing physical limits in sub-zero temperatures, the athletes proved that true strength is born in adversity. Each step taken was not just a stride forward but a statement of commitment, discipline, and inner power.

Following the marathon, a grand felicitation ceremony was held to honour the Best Athletes of 2025, particularly those who achieved remarkable milestones in cycling and other sports disciplines. Guest participants and athletes were appreciated and motivated through the distribution of trophies, medals 🏅, and certificates, recognizing their dedication and achievements.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Kashmir Mountain Biking Association, the Top Valley’s renowned athlete and organizer Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad, and the entire KMBA team for providing me with this opportunity and for organizing such a remarkable and well-coordinated program.

This event was not merely a competition—it was a celebration of human will, athletic excellence, and collective inspiration.

“Cold tests the body, but discipline defines the champion.”

“When temperatures fall below zero, courage must rise above all limits.”

“A marathon is not just a race of distance; it is a journey of belief, resilience, and purpose.”

“True athletes are forged in hardship, not comfort.”

“Running in the cold teaches us one timeless lesson excuses freeze, but determination never does.” cni
