Srinagar, (CNI) Today on SDRF Kashmir including its components & Sub-Components conducted various Training & Awareness Programs across Kashmir Province to strengthen Disaster preparedness:
A. Awareness & Demonstration Programs Conducted:

*B. Daily Training & Awareness Activities*:* 1. SDRF Battalion HQ:
A training session was conducted at SDRF Battalion Headquarters, Srinagar, for personnel from SDRF, MRT (Armed Police) & ITBP. The session focused on Lifting & Moving of Patients, Emergency Techniques & Evacuation Procedures. The aim was to enhance efficiency & safety in handling medical emergencies.
2. SDRF Bandipora: SDRF component in Bandipora conducted a daily routine training class on the use of Water Mist Fire Extinguishers and Rescue Knots. A total of 10 SDRF officials participated.
3. SDRF Budgam:
SDRF component in Budgam conducted a daily training session focused on practicing Rescue Knots and Rescue Techniques. 11 SDRF officials participated.
4. SDRF Ganderbal:
SDRF component stationed at DPL Ganderbal carried out training on the proper use of Battery Operated Cutter cum Spreader, with participation from 09 SDRF officials.
5. SDRF Gund :
SDRF Sub-component at Police Post Gund conducted a routine training session on the Cutter cum Spreader, in which 07 SDRF officials participated.
6. SDRF Pulwama :
SDRF component stationed at DPL Pulwama conducted training on the Cleaning & Handling of Inflatable Rubber Boats. A total of 09 SDRF officials participated.
7. SDRF Anantnag:
SDRF component in Anantnag carried out a practical demonstration on the use of Life Detectors and Victim Locating Cameras (VLC) during rescue operations. 17 SDRF officials actively participated.
8. SDRF Shopian :
SDRF component in Shopian conducted training on the handling of Rescue Equipment, in which 11 SDRF officials participated.
9. SDRF Baramulla:
SDRF component stationed at DPL Baramulla held a training session on the proper use of Wooden Chainsaws & Diamond Chainsaws. About 14 SDRF officials participated.
10. SDRF Kulgam:
SDRF component at DPL Kulgam carried out training on the use of Battery Operated Cutter cum Spreader, with active participation from 12 SDRF officials.
11. SDRF Qazigund:
SDRF Sub-component stationed at Railway Tunnel Qazigund conducted practical training on Rescue Equipment including the Cutter cum Spreader and Hydraulic Cutter cum Spreader. 13 SDRF officials participated.
12. SDRF Kupwara:
SDRF component at DPL Kupwara conducted training focused on the handling of Mountaineering Equipment, in which 11 SDRF officials actively participated.
