Rakesh Koul, Gow Sansad from the Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency and noted social activist, met today with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Kathua-Samba-Jammu Range. During the meeting, he conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the swift and effective action taken by the Jammu & Kashmir Police in curbing chain snatching and other criminal activities in the region.
Koul expressed confidence that such proactive policing would continue in the future, enhancing the safety and security of the common citizens.
On this occasion, Rakesh Koul also formally handed over a detailed mumpra dum (written memorandum) titled “Strong Objection Against Open Sale, Promotion, and Smuggling of Sacred Livestock in Kashmir – Demand for Immediate and Strict Action.” The memorandum highlighted growing concerns over the unchecked trade and illegal transportation of sacred livestock, urging the authorities to act decisively against such practices in order to safeguard religious sentiments and uphold the law.
Apart from this, various other community-related issues concerning public welfare, security, and preservation of cultural values were also discussed during the meeting.(cni)
